As swing grew out of the jazz, Bob Crosby and the Bob Cats
created their own sound incorporating both. The group was dedicated
and focused, with enormous energy and appeal. Their arrangements
and sound recalled New Orleans street band and Dixieland, and the
Bob Cats themselves would collect out front of the larger band to
play authentic New Orleans tunes.
